The milkshakes at the good diner were good, but he didn't go enough. He could handle two, maybe three milkshakes tonight. To start. Alex was small and had the benefit of still being young; he had the metabolism of a hummingbird, though he rarely overdid it with the food. There was a certain guilt attached to overindulging.
"I heard about last Christmas," Alex said, perking up with a bit of interest. "Not yours, but like other people's, like all the wish granting and stuff," he said with a shrug. He wouldn't have the first idea what to wish for in that sort of situation, if presented with the opportunity. Despite having grown up poor, he wasn't the kind of person who really wanted physical things. Family, safety, security, community; you couldn't wish for those things. "Sounds cool though. But no milkshakes and costumes? Like...B-plus," he teased.
