Re: [Log: Gym-to-be, Marta and Holly]
Yeah, maybe Marta would've freaked the fuck out. Or maybe she wouldn't have been surprised by any of it. Maybe she'd welcome the chance to think about something outside of her own head for a change, now matter how weird or fucked up it was. Maybe she just could just be there to listen if Holly had anything he needed to talk about. But without him telling her anything, she was flying blind, and trying to stumble through while suspecting that there was something. Suspecting and trying to ignore it, because she could've been wrong.
And it was a question she'd been fighting for years. Since Sawyer was born. Since Marta had left. Since they'd all ended up in Repose. Each step of the way, the question of what was best for Sawyer had been haunting her. And yeah, she'd fucked it up so many times and ended up going in the wrong direction more than once. And she'd made a mess of her life, Seven's life, other people around her. And now she was hoping not to step back in and make a mess out of Sawyer's life as well. "I don't know." Some of it was due to how she felt about herself, and some of it was her trying to step back from the situation and look at it like a stranger would. Or... the way that Seven was looking at it. Though one of the problems was not quite knowing how he was looking at it.
She laughed, but it was quiet and small. "Includes medication. Maybe two. More. And talking." She gave a shrug - trying to joke, but serious at the same time. "Official name is anxiety." And another little twist of a smile. "Already people that work on it. Don't think I'll be making anything big."
Maybe she didn't need to, but... "I wanted to. I want to help when I can. Even if it's little." And yeah, she should probably leave. She needed to get her work clothes back on before going back to the bar for the afternoon. Slipping into her coat, she left the bags and all the food there, only wrapping up her barely-touched sandwich and shoving it into her pocket. "Don't judge. Keeps the chinchillas in hay and snacks." She took a few backwards steps toward the door and then paused. "Let me know if you need anything. Okay? ...or if you want to talk or anything. I can listen." It was the closest she'd gotten to pushing again, and she nodded to herself before turning and letting herself out of the gym.
