Re: [Log: Gym-to-be, Marta and Holly]
Nah, the place was good. It was warm inside, and bright, and Holly liked the quiet and the fact that he could, you know, actually kinda get around on his own. And now he was working on being able to do more than walk from the bed to the door, you know? So he could get back to the store. And okay, yeah, Noah was hurt feels about Sunny thinking that Noah kept him, Holly, in a cardboard box and fed him saltines. But Holly would get to that, because he was super-invested in making sure Sunny understood that Noah was a great guy.
As for the brace? It was uncomfortable as fuck, but it supported all the right places so that he could walk. Yeah, sure, with a fuckton of pain, but he was dealing with that in order to be mobile. It meant he was super-sweaty, and super furrow-brow, but he also felt good that he was actually moving. Anyway, she was at the door, and he waved her over. He was leaning against the wall now, over by the window, and catching his breath. He pushed his sweaty hair off his forehead, and he wondered where the fuck his energy had gotten to in the last few months. Okay, okay, yeah, he'd been lying in bed for most of it, but whatever.
To her left, the card table he and Noah had been using was sitting empty. "You can put it down there," he told her. Because, yeah, Noah had been staying with him the whole time he'd been here. It was way less comfortable than the B&B, and Holly really fucking appreciated the guy being there. He was sleeping worse than ever, Holly, and it was soothing to have Noah snoring nearby. But, yeah, Holly didn't hug. So, right. He kinda noticed that movement? But he didn't point it out or anything. He didn't want to make her uncomfortable. "There's no such thing as too much," he deadpanned about the food. And it was pretty obvious that Holly liked his food, right? So he hobbled over to one of the chairs, and he sat with a moan, leg outstretched. He motioned to the other one for her to use. "Make yourself at home and tell me what Sunny's been up to."
