Re: lakeside mansion; hugh c./dietre a.
Dietre knew what Hugh meant about having someone in bed to sleep with. He had never slept better than those months when Aleksi was with him. He had been so distraught when he left that even Sieglinde couldn’t replace what was lost. She could now, though, he was sure, but it wouldn’t really be the same…
Hugh began to grin and Dietre shly averted his gaze at the sight of it. The grin was infectious though, so despite looking away Dietre smiled for the first time in Hugh’s presence. It was a very small smile, a little sad and wan, but the corners of his lips did turn up just a bit, and for Dietre, that counted as a smile. “I can agree to that.” The exchanging of pro and anti hermit tips.
“...I need friends too.” As if that wasn’t obvious. It did surprise him, however, that Hugh was in need of friends, he seemed like a man who would have more than he knew what to do with. Dietre wasn’t going to judge him for wanting to have more friends, that’s for sure. “I can’t seem to hold onto any…”
“You aren’t scaring me off,” he assured. No one who was nice to him or wanted his company was going to scare Dietre away. You could even break his heart to pieces and he’d still come crawling shamefully back if you told him to. “I don’t know much about movies, I haven’t watched very many… I mostly read.”
