Re: lakeside mansion: Hugh C./Audrey C.
"I love Seattle, it's like the perfect city - in my opinion. Obviously it has flaws, but I love the weather, and I love that you can see the mountains, but you can also see the sea, and the way that you suspect that if the humans cleared out for like even five years, nature would take it all back super fast. To a certain extent that's true everywhere I think, but in Seattle it's kind of - I don't know it's wild, and urban at the same time, and I love it."
He finished off his egg and considered his coffee and her question, and really how deeply to get into it with someone who was a new friend, but also none of it was particularly a secret. "I do, she'd be very difficult if I never did," he smiled to suggest he didn't mind at all. "She's always been my biggest fan, and she's the reason that I am where I am in terms of my career, I couldn't have done any of it without her, and so yeah, I obviously go see her, and when I do I see Isaac, also. He's... my Dad, on paper, anyway. Not genetically though, and that was a recent discovery."
He turned the coffee cup and offered a half smile. "Honestly, that discovery probably improved our relationship, or at least it made me feel more generous towards him - which is maybe enough."
