Re: [in-person: holly & noah.]
[We'll get back to unhealthy coping mechanisms. But, first, Noah took that kiss of what was undoubtedly-deadpan gratitude, and the clammy heat of Holly's skin to his just reminded him he needed to get the dude in bed. Like, for sleeping. Holly nudged at Noah, bringing him back to the present, and Noah nodded.] I'm going! [After a fast kiss to Holly's cheek, Noah turned on his heel. He had already started to begin to run when the crutch came out to insist.] I'm gooooooingggg! [This time Noah pretty much yelled it, holding 'going' until it was obnoxious. Which was probably a good sign.—Luckily, Noah was quick on his feet, and hitting the B&B for all the goods, then getting the Jeep only took him, I dunno, ten minutes or something. Which was probably a lot when you were trying to stand, alone, in the dark, on a bad leg, but he was trying to hurry.
He came roaring out of the dark with blaring headlights and braked next to Holly. Noah was quick to hop out of the car and down, so he could help his husband into his seat.] Sorry. [He was a little breathless.] Are you okay? [If he could, he tried to take some of Holly's weight, as was now his way, and he wrapped his arm low around the dude's waist, over the hanging coat.]
