Re: [in-person: holly & noah.]
[Holly knew it was really fucking hard for Noah to see past his own darkness at times. In fact, he'd noticed that pretty fucking quickly after the movie theater and the motel. It was just part of the guy, and, sure, it worried Holly a lot at times, because he absolutely associated darkness with someone blowing their head off. Look, the guy watched too many true crime YouTubers, okay? But, anyway, right. He knew, and he wasn't going anywhere. It wasn't like tonight was groundbreaking information or anything. And Noah was over there wrinkling his nose and smiling a little more, and Holly felt better for having made Noah feel better. So it was good for him too, right?
He handed over the backpack, glad that Noah didn't argue with him. And, in return? He didn't argue about the coat Noah draped over his shoulder. Instead? He deadpanned:] My knight in shining armor. [He pushed at some of Noah's curls, just where they escaped at the side of his hat.] Just bring me something warm to sleep in. And the gauze and cleaning stuff. And my laptop and camera. [In case they stayed more than a day. His meds? Were already in the bag.] It's all on the bathroom counter. And my Juul. [Which he'd left behind in his hurry.]
