Re: [in-person: holly & noah.]
[Noah's smile stayed around a little longer each time it made an appearance. Just being near Holly—even if Noah did feel guilty for dragging his, Holly's, ass out of bed—made Noah feel better and less like everything sucked the most for eternity. I mean, the dude was right and he had been on the phone. Noah wouldn't always feel this way. And Noah knew that. But, somehow that seemed... more... real? When Holly was actually there next to him, instead of the spreading black of night. Maybe that wasn't surprising. Holly told Noah he looked sweet, and Noah wrinkled his nose a little.
But, yeah, Holly's plan was better. Noah rolled his lips together, but! There was no biting involved. He slid the backpack up one shoulder and hitched it behind him.] Okay. Is there anything you want, like, especially? [And because he wanted to, he tugged Holly's hat down a little more. Which made him think of something. The backpack was set at his feet and Noah pulled off his coat.] Here. [He draped it over Holly's shoulders, over crutches and so on, if the dude let him. And in an echo:] Don't argue.
