Re: Early evening in the living room - Rey + Hugh
There was rather a lot to what Rey explained, and Hugh followed it as best as he could. She had lost her foster Father recently - within the last year - and she wasn't from the states, that was clear enough from the accent, and she was living in her foster family's house, he assumed here in Repose. He nodded as she finished as he tried to decide if it seemed she wanted to talk about her Foster-Father or not, and uncertain about it, he decided to pull into the last thing she'd mentioned a little bit more.
"It sounds like this year has been a lot of changes," he smiled empathetically. "Those are always hard when you're living through them." His problems didn't feel as if they compared to family deaths, and had also been mostly self-inflicted, but he'd still had a lot of changes and it was difficult. "But figuring things out afterwards can be... rewarding?" He considered this word. It felt as sound as any. "Which isn't to say it's easy, necessarily, but I hope it will be rewarding for you to do that. Does your foster family live here, or just has a house here?"
