Re: log: connie/atticus
The Matrix comment made her smile and she nodded, pulling the oversized jacket farther around her body as she slipped her boots off and brought her knees up to her chest. "When I come back, I think time can stabilize again. It suggests that I can do more with my powers. Jump into the future or maybe even go into the past. Stuff I don't want to try. It might also mean the first time I- the first time I went way too far and each time I bend time, it crosses with that point." She brought her fingers up and crossed one over the other in an unnecessary visual.
She paused and rested her chin on her knees, closing her eyes as she remembered what the time machine looked like all those years ago. Now it was covered in dust and broken in some places, but back then it almost felt alive. She blinked her eyes open and exhaled lightly. "Using my powers...it feels natural. Like it's part of me now. Like I'm supposed to. Dad, he used the machine a lot. I think it corrupted him. I've only touched it once. And, I've never found the place I last saw him. I don't think I want to."
She nodded with a smile, a little embarrassed she was feeling chilly. "Didn't know you were smuggling a piece of Antarctica in here." Connie gave a half-smile, trying for a joke despite how heavy everything felt.
