Oh, she noticed that blush when she glanced back at you Alex. She was not unfamiliar with the glow of cheeks. She didn't say anything, yet. "I think that sounds very nice and it's extremely sweet of you to want to do this for them. ... sounds like you care a lot about them." She stood, the honey in her hands.
"I'll help you with a few more recipes too, that way you can feed Shiloh and ... Mal, more often. I bet they'd like it too." Audrey smiled then and leaned against the counter. She liked Alex's expression of amusement, it was inviting if a touch shy, she understood that too. She wondered, briefly, if this was what it felt like to have a connection to a sibling--a brother. She'd imagine someone like Alex, friendly but with enough mischief to lovingly tease. She felt a bit guilty at the thought--because she did actually have three brothers of her own, but a connection?
This felt more like a connection, in fact many people felt more connected to her than her own family.
