He was cool, like marble. It ever only rose in temperature from something else that was warm and would quickly slip back into chill once it was removed. Her motions were friendly, one of teaching. Audrey was never one for hidden motives, but how could Alex know that? Besides, she wasn't very good at picking up certain signals herself. It was just the blind leading the blind when it came to such things, but she did, thankfully notice the blush. Had she overstepped? Her head lifted at his question as she set another freshly shaved carrot into the tin. "Oh, a bit of olive oil, honey, garlic and salt and pepper, and then some parsley for aesthetic purposes." She smiled almost sheepishly. "It all comes together as a sweet and savory dish, it's great as a side. I found it a couple of years ago browsing online and it's become a favorite."
She glanced at his work. "You're definitely getting the hang of it now. It gets easier as you go. I've never really...cooked with anyone else before, it's...it's nice." Her head went back down concentrating on the task at hand.
