Hugh laughed. "I'm really glad that I've met her then, because I'm sure that probably means to meeting more people if she's that way." There was a bit of a pang that he'd used to have been that way, and now maybe he wasn't. But he didn't let it linger. He'd made particular choices, now he was making different ones, and it would shift again.
He turned slightly more serious. "I do know something about houses feeling empty when you're the only one there. especially most of those lake ones I think. I used to have an apartment in Seattle and it was small and it was harder to feel lonely when it was small and you were surrounded by people all of the time."
He took a sip and nodded. "It's on, we'll discuss baking and then make you test all of our recipes," he grinned.
