Re: Electronics Shop Apartments: Shiloh F, Alex W
Trust came easy for Alex - too easy, most of his friends said, and they probably weren't wrong, but he was also seldom wrong, himself. Especially since coming to Repose. Like, he knew there was a healthy dose of paranoia that just naturally came with the place, and it hadn't taken that long to figure that one out. But that wasn't about the people, so much. The people he'd found were good, and he considered them his people, now.
Okay, so fine. You declined, but if someone insisted, you didn't insist back. He wasn't sure he had a 'code' when it came to this sort of thing but he figured that if he did, this was as good as any, and that's what he went by. He'd lost a lot of the guilt that came with accepting help, and very fast. But there was always going to be that desire to be independent and do things for himself. So, he just thought of it as a gift and didn't mention it again. "Umm," he gave it some thought, chewing at his lip a little. "Been talking about Cyndi Lauper, so that would be cool. Maybe a tour poster, if they got one?" He thought that would be cooler than just an album cover. And maybe someday he could get it put in a frame, and it would like, look kind of classy.
