Re: Haven / Friday: After the Train
Derek's smiles were familiar, as was the easy way the woman offered touch. With as shaken as she felt, leaning into the fingers that corralled that lock of hair was easy. There was no question or hesitation in her actions - want touch, lean into it.
Her words were still absent though, so all she could do was nod or shake her head for the moment. Walking, giving them a direction and a purpose, seemed like a good idea. Especially since her shoes had disappeared along with the train, the soles of her feet gathering the grime from the forest floor. She was grateful for the guidance that Derek provided, weaving around the remnants of ballroom and the ever-present trees. It was easy to follow, required no decision for the moment.
In response to the questions, Marta nodded at the first, before the second was even offered. She did like hearing other people talk, even when she wasn't able to. Maybe especially then. If someone else was speaking, then she didn't have to struggle to do so herself.
