The Garbage man’s ranting made Leo laugh. He settled into the seat in front of the man, sitting on his knees with his elbows propped on the backrest so that he could continue to face him. He was entertained enough to stay, giving up whatever nefarious plans he might have had for the mail car and his lighter.
Before his eyes a tattoo seemed to materialize out of nowhere. Entranced, he leaned far over the back of his seat for a better look. “Say! That’s a neat trick, ain’t it?” Green eyes blinked, went wide, blinked again. Though, like any good carnie, once the awe wore off he began to think of money.
“You ever think t’get int’show business? I’m a circus man, an’ I’ll tell you a trick like that’d be quite the draw.” He nodded to himself, gaze still lingering on the image of the wandering fool.
