Beauty was so much more than a face and skin. In his years he'd seen beauty, both of form and internal, those people that drew others to them like flowers rising to meet the sun. Some simply because they were pretty of face. Some had something more than that, something that not even he was immune to, but the phantasms of what was had to stay buried. He smiled, lips pulling tight, and the joy did not reach his eyes but the muscles of his face did relax some at seeing her pleased expression, enough that the smile was no longer forced.
"It would seem that my duties are on hold as long as we are stopped," he said, glancing out one of the windows at the scenery that moved only with the wind, not with their passing. "But I likewise understand that you have duties of your own, and I would not take you from them, but if you would care to join me, I would enjoy the company. And the conversation," he said as he stood slowly, the smile becoming more natural withe ver word. A distraction would be welcome and an interesting conversation could provide.
