Re: Capital: Jamie & Seven Friday night
Shy and Seven weren’t exactly a thing, either. He stayed motionless under Jamie’s touch as it drifted along the planes of his face, smoothing over his brow, because it was a determined effort not to spook the guy out of the bare-bones sort of affinity that made such a stark contrast from the way they usually crashed together, clacking teeth and bruising fingers and breath that bellowed hot between them. It was the sort of thing that Seven knew would be undone if he was seen to examine it too closely, yeah? So he was still, and let his skin warm under the trail of Jamie’s thumb without reaction except to let the arch of his eyebrow be coaxed into something easier for the guy to swallow.
“Okay,” he agreed, easy, not ‘okay’ like you’re right but like I don’t give enough fucks to argue with you, because Jamie hadn’t said no outright. It’d been an even split in his head, whether the guy’s walls would slam down as soon as Seven wiped that hard line into scattered grains of sand with a single condition. But then there was a momentary cleft that dimpled in his composure, just a single, surprised blink. There and gone again as fast as it came. He hadn’t expected Jamie to reel back in on the rule about not fucking at the new place he shared with his sister, yeah? But he took it in stride, treating it like the appearance of a wild animal at the edge of a clearing: don’t look directly at it, or draw attention, lest it spook. Seven’s mouth twitched again. “Should I be prepared for her to insult me, too?”
He tipped his head back a little farther as Jamie leaned in, the picture of physical concession, smile lazily blithe with the gleam of humour still in his eyes. “We can be done,” he said, laughing softly with just an exhale of warm breath through his nose. His head tipped just slightly to the side under the graze of Jamie’s hand over his neck, stretching the column of his throat fractionally more open so that the tendon stood out. His gaze flickered from the guy’s eyes, down to his mouth, then back again, and he let the skin of Jamie’s thumb tug his bottom lip down at the side without resistance. Jamie’s weight on top of him was warmly solid, made his eyes heavy and torpid as he blinked. “I didn’t realize the benefits were up for debate.”
