Del nodded. "I suppose if one knew some more of the people who frequented the Hallway some of that might become obvious after a while. I sell potions over there currently, but I haven't spent a lot of time over there. Maybe I should do a few more trips when I don't have the shop open." It wasn't as if it took much time if one Apparated, and it was well within Apparating distance. "Granted it's not the only supernatural that's attracted to this place," she told him. "There've been rumors of things here for as long as I can remember. It's not all witches and wizards."
She glanced towards the windows thinking of the rumors from her childhood about the lake, and the rumors that happened now. Ghosts under the water, or whatever else came around. The cottage was cozy, enough,but... "You've got good wards here, I suppose?"
She finished off the remainder of her roll and nodded, thoughtful. "We've heard bits and pieces here, of course, but it's not the same as having lived it, and I was young enough at the time - it was all very far away. It's easy to think of what you should have done or could have done as an adult, but much harder when you're in the moment as a child just trying to survive through something." She couldn't exactly blame him for that. She didn't know what she would have done. Considering the number of times she'd ran away from one thing or another, she could guess she might have had an equally chagrined look on her face.
