"That sounds quite enjoyable," Theodore said as he went to the cabinet and pulled out a pair of dessert plates. "Truth is, I haven't given much thought to Christmas the last few years. With Jamie gone and Elaine staying at school, no ties to Christianity and no other real family to speak of, it just happens to be one of those times of year that passes me by, more often than not." He cut a couple, well, generous slices of the roll, one for each of them, and offered one to Del, along with a clean fork.
