"Wait, Hippogriffs? With twelve year olds? oh my god," Del laughed. "You know sometimes as an adult you feel completely inept at trying to get anything done well, and then you remember the adults you had in your childhood that did something completely inept, and you can both feel better about your own choices, and better recognize that they probably literally were just doing the best they could." She shook her head. "We did not have hipporgriffs, just, terrifying books that tried to eat us, for the most part. The creatures, I think, were a little more uh, domesticated,if that's the right word for any magical creature." She wasn't certain it was.
But working with him seemed like a good plan. He knew the house better than she did after all, and she lifted her own wand with him, so that they could work on the main room together, charms and spells to make certain that the cottage, which did look quite cozy, would also feel cozy through the winter. It had been a while since she'd done any of this type of spellwork, but she had taken some time to look up some things before she'd come over, so that she did know the spells for sealing up cracks, and creating barriers to the temperatures outside and to keep other temperatures inside.
"Will your daughter come back for Christmas you think?" She asked after they'd done a bit of work around the room.
