She was enjoying the switch to Repose, despite the very different atmosphere from New York City. She'd left Repose for NYC, hoping for something that would erase the memories of the strangeness here, and provide all sorts of glamorous opportunities, and she'd taken the chance to grab onto to someone else's coattails to do that. It hadn't entirely worked out - oh NYC had provided glamour enough, but the glamour there was a little like the normal mundane here - scratch the surface, and you'd find that they were not what they seemed. And so she'd settled back in, quietly, and allowing herself to ease in carefully and quietly to things that she'd once known every day.
Visiting Theodore wasn't one of those things she'd known every day before, at least not when she'd been in Repose before. He was more one of those people from New York City and the parties there, but she was glad he was here. It fit him more, somehow, and maybe fit her more as well, and since Delyth hadn't had the opportunity to visit Theodore just yet, she'd taken it when it had come across.
Now she leaned forward to consider the books he'd pulled out. What she'd had, had been from her own schooling, and while she'd self-taught a bit since then, she'd focused on things that could be sold a little more widely. Magical, but not too magical, lest they create a stir. It was difficult to practice something that you had no market for, and her ex-husband had made that difficult. So, stepping back into it here was a challenge, and also a delight, something that was clear as she looked at the books he'd brought.
"I suppose it's lucky I know someone who is so good at charms then," she glanced up at him quickly, a quick smile and tease as she pulled the final volume towards her. "I'd thought of possibly adding some charms to the crystals, but I'm not certain if that's a necessary thing to do, honestly."
