The kid in the jacket (not camo, not really uniform, but green, the kind of thing you wear after you get out just to have something familiar on your skin) looked down at Atticus' hands. "They'll hurt again when we go back." He looked away again, over the crowd, and put his own--flawless--hands in his jacket pockets.
Sideways look, extremely wary. "Still me. I'll just tag along. You can go wherever, or talk to people if you want. They're all here, in a way. It's not really a dream. But it is all in your head, at the same time." A second more looking around. "Oh, the books are all here too, I guess. It's a version of the place."
