"It's Hell," Janus sighed. "Don't get used to it."
The eyes were dark now, like old coals. He settled on the cold sand and set his elbows on his knees. The coat had brown leather on the elbows, but no wear. Janus tilted his head. He didn't contradict Atticus' supplied excuse.
"No," he replied. The tone interested him. His eyebrows twitched. "You don't want me to?"
