Re: log: adrian and ren - in the cottage
Ren nodded. He'd kind of figured as much, even before he asked. It felt like the piece of everything that was most potentially damaging when uncontrolled, to Adrian and to everyone around him. And it was also the largest piece in many ways. Sue, well, Ren could deal with Sue. And he half wondered if, as the Obscurus was brought back into place, there might be some obvious ways forward there too. "Yeah, okay," he agreed aloud and reached for the mug in front of him.
The mug was hot and the tea inside it also, and that was a nice distraction from the momentary half terror of whether or not Ren had a clue what he was doing. He didn't, but also, he did. And he needed to focus on that, because he figured that Adrian needed someone to believe that this was possible, and Ren did, when it came right down to it. He might not know how they were going to make the journey, but he believed it could be made.
"Do you remember that time you called me ages ago? And we talked about meditation stuff? Like, it was... back when I first came here, really. And you were in a closet - you were worried about the Obscurus, weren't you? Like, you didn't say so at the time, but looking back..." He turned the mug around in his hands for a moment. "Question is, did that help? Like, what we talked about?"
It was partially just a check-in question, and Ren wasn't even certain Adrian would remember. It had been a long time ago and he hadn't thought about it again until just recently with all of this.
