Like everything else about him, Mao's laugh was adorable, and Vaughn couldn't help a little chuckle that followed.
And yes, he was a dork. And he was absolutely not smooth. But he was a bit drunk, and he was absolutely delighted by Mao, so he was letting himself go a little bit.
The giggle was a wonderful reward, and part of Vaughn knew that he was laying down a challenge that would have to be risen to. The blush that Mao wanted was there immediately, flooding his cheeks with colour and warmth, the heat going down further than where it could be seen beneath the collar of his shirt.
"Disgustingly?" he whispered back, reaching for the can. "Maybe you shouldn't drink anymore of this, then. I'd hate to leave a terrible taste in your pretty mouth. Such a shame."
