He laughed. "A manly bracelet sounds most acceptable." And, man, he agreed that this could not hurt, and perhaps something good would come of it. The dude would not go so far as to call himself an optimist, but perhaps he could believe something not terrible would occur for a change. He was trying to hold onto that certainty now that he had returned here; it was much easier to be certain that bad things would not always occur when he was away from here.
He nodded about Newt. He knew the dude was most respected and well-known in his own circles, and Patrick was most proud of Newt's accomplishments. He did not often speak about his lover with candor in public (this was also something new he was attempting upon his return).
"Take them, my girl," he said of the galleons, and he shook her hand. "I will await word," he added, and he gave her a polite nod as he abandoned the table and stepped out onto the cobblestone street beyond.
