Re: [Hall Way: Delyth & Patrick]
"I would have been. It is the loss of all giants, my girl," he assured her with a companionable wink as they progressed. His hands were in his pocket, but not out of some need to hide. The slouch of his shoulders was not a result of his discomfort with being out and seen and known, which was a new thing since being gone. Man, he had honestly believed everyone was looking at him and labeling him with their stares, and now he just nodded to companionably to those who passed; being gone had been good for Patrick.
He smiled (laughed). "You have the schedule down," he noted. Sometimes Repose altered its schedule slightly, but never in a most intense way. He too expected something in the cooler months. "And yet you still returned."
The barista put forth his coffee, and Patrick took a sip of the tart beverage. He was more of an energy drink dude at home, but this was nice. The air was beginning to become cool, and he supposed all that was missing was a dash of pumpkin syrup. "I have considered visiting the medical hospital, the magical one, though I do not know their requirements for attendance. I also considered seeking work there, but, again, I do not know the schooling for medical magic." Things were much easier in Storlock, where he had been training upon his return. "I am not asking for myself," he said easily and with a smile that reassured; he already knew the trouble that could be found if someone thought him mentally unwell.
