Re: [Recovery: Marta & Hannah]
Hannah really, really couldn't allow herself the luxury of living in the past. If she thought too much about the fact that she wasn't who she really was, she'd go crazy. If she thought too much about the fact that she was property, she'd lose her mind. And she was constantly on the edge of that knife anyway, and she'd been there since the red room, and everyone in her family had always, always known. Now, these days, the sleep paralysis was back, and the bent-neck lady was back, and it was all back. So she had to live in every single tiny moment, and she had to completely just stay.
She didn't mind silence, not even a little. Maybe that was strange, but she didn't. There was no need to fill the spaces that stretched and stretched like taffy, despite really, really liking words a lot.
She smiled when Marta agreed to take the camera for a little bit, and she nodded again, just to reiterate the encouragement. She didn't think Cass would mind either, because Cass seemed like the kind of person that would understand this place with its tall windows.
She squeezed Marta's hand again, and she prepared to rise, but... wait, wait. "Do you want me to check on Seven for you?" she offered, and a smile followed. "I can try to bring Si when I visit next," she added, and maybe he would like it here. It wasn't a bad idea, and she was still going to ask about prices on her way out.
