Re: [Recovery: Marta & Hannah]
Hannah tended to like people quickly, and she was really, really forgiving and very, very loyal. She liked Marta, and she wanted good things from the other girl. If Marta needed Seven to be happy, then she wanted her to have Seven. If Marta liked Si, and if Si liked her back, then she would back that too. She worried a little about losing the relationship she had with her twin, but that wasn't enough to keep her from helping Si get what he wanted and what would be good for him.
She was the last person who would warn someone off a person because of drugs. She knew they were bad, and she knew they made people do things they wouldn't normally do, but she loved her brother and didn't think he was a bad person because of his addiction, so it would be hypocritical for her to warn anyone away from Marta. And Hannah just saw a nice girl in that chair, one that needed good things in her life more than most people did.
"Is he cranky in a bad way?" she asked a second later, because there lived in Hannah something that was genuinely afraid of men and tempers, and she knew that sometimes men hid those tempers until it was too late, and she knew that walking away wasn't as easy as people thought and said. And she knew that even good people, like her mom, could turn scary, and Seven being cranky made her wonder if he was really, really cranky. As in, if he was the kind of cranky that threw girls against walls and kicked them over and over in the belly. Men that liked tears better than smiles.
And then there were men like the ones that hurt Molly.
