It was difficult to think of the man in front of him as creepy. Hugh had felt comfortable in his presence from the first moment they'd met each other down by the lake, and despite some occasionally difficult topics of conversation, that didn't seem to have shifted at all. If anything, it had seemed to reinforce that Hugh felt comfortable trusting him. Nasty didn't seem at all a descriptor that he could see, but people could change. He knew that he was quieter than he had been prior to the trial, more private perhaps as well - or at least cautious. Certainly his views on relationships in general had shifted in the past few years, and twenty-year-old him would question the sanity of having deleted dating aps from his phone.
Hugh leaned on the arm of the sofa, gaze serious on Theodore's face. "I have a difficult time seeing you being nasty to anyone. Not that I doubt you, just - you have very much been the opposite since I've known you. Admittedly, that's only been a handful of times," he added with a quick smile. "It sounds as if you found a good friend in Jamie, though. Even if you moved away from Sebastian some." A beat. "Would you want to get in touch with him? If you knew it would be a good thing to do?"
