Theodore pondered that for a moment. "It's wonderful that you're so...attuned to it." He couldn't think of a better word at the moment for the sense of just being one with your craft. "That you can pick it up anywhere, and feel right? I think that's a gift." Not in the sense that Hugh was a gifted actor - though Theodore was sure he was. Instead that it was a gift given to him. And it wasn't hard to imagine why Hugh must've done what he'd done to chase after it, to hold onto it. "Home for me will always be where my family is," Theodore said after another pause. "Even though we're often separated, I have the places, I have the memories." Not to mention being a wizard generally made travel more manageable, if he really wanted to see Elaine at Lindmarch.
Theodore eyed the drink for a moment, not judgmentally, but thoughtfully. He'd always been careful of his drinking, because of his father, and rarely indulged in anything stronger than wine or beer. He understood genetics and addiction well enough. "I'll start with the Times then," he said, feeling like it was weird to be discussing this, like Hugh promising to read his book, but infinitely more personal. "And maybe skip some of the more...sensational sites, and come to you instead." He really wanted to give Hugh a fair shake when it came down to it.
