Hugh smiled, and nodded. It had been a while since he’d really felt that and not just had to tell himself it. Sometimes he suspected he might never outrun the past but at least he genuinely believed that he could do better and bring good things again. “This summer has let me remember that,” he breathed in and straightened up a little. “It’s been really good to work with people on plays again.”
High tilted his head and nodded. “You know her best but in general I would think this would come better intentionally shared rather than discovered accidentally. I don’t mind, if that’s what you’d like to do. Honestly,” he smiled ruefully. “I get tired of telling it so knowing I don’t have to think about it with her is a relief. That said, if she wants to ask me about any of it, should she read something, or just have questions, I am willing to do so, and that goes for you too.”
