"Yes," Theodore agreed, watching Hugh. He wasn't necessarily the physical comfort type; he never had been. But he went over, and put his hand on Hugh's shoulder. "Honesty is a good way to start things. You start by being honest with yourself, most of all, and then work your way up to honesty with others." He gave Hugh's shoulder a squeeze, let go and stepped back, though not far. "I am glad you told me, because you're right. If Elaine had heard you were in a movie, she would've certainly been the one to go looking for you on the internet."
He followed that up, though, with a small smile. "I wouldn't have broken off our friendship over it, I want you to know. But I would've had to ask, and that would've been...awkward. I'm glad you told me in your own time rather than having that conversation when you weren't expecting to. It sounds like you've been through enough." He felt like something a hypocrite then, he realized, going on about honesty when he'd already had to tell a dozen white lies to hide his true nature from Hugh. It, he knew, would have to wait, though. That level of trust wasn't there yet; nor was easily available public information on the matter.
