Re: [Diner: Aleksi, Hannah, Si]
Hannah assumed Si felt conflicted about her at times. She felt conflicted by herself at times too, and there were only brief moments where she forget to be conflicted at all. Brief and tiny glimmers where she forgot she wasn't who she felt she was, and fighting for menus in diners definitely made her forget. She shoved at Si's side a little, and she shook her head looking at Rabbit, indicating that Si was always like this, and that he was hopeless. It was playful, family, and she thought maybe Rabbit would understand what she'd said about only knowing love from family in the past.
Everyone ordered, and she pushed her coffee cup to the edge of the table, past Si, so the waitress could refill it when she returned.
"But she kind of said it without saying it," she said, and she didn't mention Marta by name, not wanting to tell Si that Marta had a baby if she didn't want him to know. That was kind of the type of thing you told someone yourself. "I know her, but not the baby's father. But she's the type of person who thinks really badly of herself, and I don't think she'd come right out and ask, even if she wanted me to talk to him about her." That was a feeling she'd gotten, but she was pretty sure the feeling was right. "But I can't tell if he doesn't want to know about what's going on with her, or if it's in her head," she added, thinking that was important to explain. "He did get her the spot in the hospital she's in," she added hopefully.
