Re: Lakeside:Theodore/Hugh
"It looks really cute, and paint is paint - you can always change that if you don't like it," he offered with a smile. "I probably wasn't here last summer, to be honest," Hugh shrugged, patting his leg so that Heart would come back to his side. "I moved in around September, and then took my time getting out there to get to know people." That was the understatement of the century. He'd played at being a hermit for most of the year, and it really wasn't his thing.
There was a bit of a rush of pleasure as he nodded. It might be nice to have a neighbor that could be invited over occasionally, and the acceptance of the offer was the sort of thing he'd always taken for granted in Seattle. "Excellent, and we're in no rush. Well, I'm not, Heart will probably rush up because she likes that," he laughed. "And we can see if we have any overlapping musical taste. I am pretty certain I can guarantee I'll have a wine you'll like. What's your go-to music right now?" He asked as he turned back towards the path that he'd taken down to the beach, careful not to move too quickly.
The route they were taking was a brief path back towards the unused boathouse, and the stone steps that led up to the back patio overlooking the lake, and while it wasn't entirely even, it was generally clear from Hugh having used it multiple times since he moved in, and he meandered, purposefully letting Theodore set the pace with the cane.
