Re: trailer park: alex and mal
The thing was, Alex was perfectly capable and even willing to accept help. Kindness was important. And yet, there was always an internal obligation to pay it back, and he couldn't imagine what he could do for Mal that wasn't monetary in some way or another. It made him uncomfortable, and he wasn't the best at expressing that. And still, he almost said "thanks" again.
"Yeah, I 'unno," Alex said as they walked up on the outskirts of the Park. "Like I told that Mimi girl, I don't really think 'm...stalker target material?" He gave a little self-deprecating laugh. "But I..." Aw, hell. He decided to come clean with Mal. "Look, I've been...feeling weird all week and...actin' weird and..." He huffed a sigh. "Losing track of time." He bit at his lip. He didn't want to sound like some kind of freak.
