Re: On the rooftop: is the word/Hello
Now Zuko knew this was not his hometown, so it made sense that Rydell High was not here either, and therefore it made sense that this nerdy dude did not know the T-Birds. This was all true, but it was uncomfortable to Zuko, who had never felt unknown before. He found he didn't like the feeling brought about by this sudden lack of popularity and celebrity, and it momentarily left him lost in his own head and thinking, which was something he didn't do very often. "Huh? Oh, nah, I don't think this is performance art." He had no idea what performance art was, but he didn't think it was this. "This is just a party, dude. Relax." He wasn't sure the nerd was the partying type, but he felt strongly that everyone should be the partying type.
A brow was arched at the nerd's response to the girlish shape drawn on the night air. A laugh followed- ha-ha- "Judgemental much, dude? How do you know that they don't have a purpose in life?" Zuko didn't think a purpose in life was all that important, but he didn't think the nerd should be judging people he didn't even know. "Look, I ain't even thought about life after school yet, and I'm happy. Are you happy? You don't look too happy over there, I'm just sayin', purpose or no purpose."
Arm clamped around the nerd's shoulders, Zuko did try to think about life after school, but a voice inside him said not to sweat it. Zuko was into not sweating it so, sure, he was down with that. He pointed instead, and he looked down to find the nerd pinching the cuff of his leather. "Hey, don't mess with the jacket," he said, and then he realized his hand was being relocated to point elsewhere. Huh. "That's called necking," he explained, somehow less concerned about it than he probably should be. He slung his arm more comfortably around the dude's shoulder. "See, when two people like each other..." He let his voice trail, and he winked, ya dig?
