"Have fun," Alex told him with a tired wave, still managing a little smile. It looked like a fun time, and he was a bit sorry he was missing out, but he wasn't fit to party, or anything resembling it. "I'll try ta stay awake that long, promise." Sure, he'd slept in the street before, but there was no sleeping in these streets, not tonight, and why bother when you had a bed. He got down the fire escape to the alley and gave one last look up. "Later, Jack," he said, pulling up his hood and heading back in the direction of the trailer park.
He could've sworn he'd already made this walk once tonight.
