Re: On a Fire Escape; Alex W/extra extra
"Ain't any problem, it's a good night for one, and I needed it today." He looked out over the town, catching sight of what might have been a gal in a retty dress, and he tilted his head, trying to catch a glimpse around whatever she'd gone around. Oh well. She was gone and he'd have to go down to find her, and it wasn't worth it.
"We're gonna show old man Pulitzer who's boss," he pulled his attention back to his companion. "He can't raise price on the papes, and cause we're gonna starve if he keeps it up, so we're gonna strike, all of us, and without us, no one buys a pape, and if no one can buy a pape, he can't sell no papes, and he'll understand we're important to the distribution."
Those were big words, and at least some of them were partially stolen from the brains, wherever he was. He'd kinda half thought they were going to meet up here. Maybe he was still on his way. "Unless you don't sell papes? You work in one of those factories?"
