Chris had gone to the show on a lark. She'd seen the revival of Spamalot in London a few years ago and had enjoyed it immensely; seeing it again had sounded like a great way to spend a Friday evening. The production had not disappointed. In fact, some of the actors had surpassed her expectations entirely. People always said comedy was harder to get right than drama, and several of the characters had had her in stitches throughout.
She wanted to go congratulate the cast after the show but didn't feel that she knew anyone well enough to approach them. They all seemed busy with their flowers and their friends and Chris would not interrupt. She turned her attention to the spread of cheeses in the lobby to kill the time, a glass of champagne in her left hand.
