Definitely a certain kind of mood. He'd be hard-pressed to articulate it though. It was a mood that searched out quiet and stillness to counteract the near-constant screaming of Below. Even in those areas where silence reigned to torment its residents, the ruler of it could still hear the screaming.
So the quiet sunrise mornings with Claire, the stolen moments with Janus, they were both wanted and needed. For the moment. Long fingers traced over the peak of Janus' ankle, just enough to waken nerves with a subtle tickle of sensation. "Do you ever get tired of doing something just because I've told you to?"
