Re: In-person: Janus/Lucy
Lucifer would never readily admit to it, but things have definitely changed for him since first showing up in Repose. First Claire, then Misha. He's off-balance in the way he hasn't been since the centuries after his Fall. His passing discussions with people on the forum are an attempt to step back into his own shoes, but they tend to trail off and go nowhere. Things are Not Right, and Janus is one of two that he's willing to show any of that to.
For the moment, he's looking a little younger than sometimes, rumpled from hair to expression (if an expression can be considered such) to the wrinkled state of his clothing. Not anywhere near a sharply tailored suit, he's allowed himself a worn t-shirt and thin cotton lounge pants. As a sign that not everything is completely awful, the pants are black with tiny red pitchforks on them.
When Janus appears, Lucifer is in one of the house's many comfortable rooms, propped sideways on the couch so that he can stare out over the lake. The smell of hellfire shouldn't be comforting, but he closes his eyes and smiles when the scent of it precedes Janus into the room. When his eyes open again, he's looking over at them and takes a long pause to catalog the new form. It could feel salacious, the close study up and down body, tracing new lines with his eyes, but it's not meant to be. It's a relearning of someone that's already familiar. He has to do it every so often with Janus, but never seems annoyed by it.
