It was true that she found this easy, fun, nice, more than nice. She liked sitting here like this with him, and he was the only one who talked with her about things like this. He followed her whimsical footsteps willingly, and it was nice. It was nice, nice, and she smiled warmly at him, all brightness and sunshine and copper hair halo. "I think we're good at it together," she said, unknowingly mirroring his thoughts.
She clapped really, really softly, not wanting to draw Ren's attention, but wanting to show appreciation for the door slam and the heroine's narrow escape. "But she's only safe for this one night, and there are so, so many more ahead. Is he worth it? Will he save her? Will she save herself? Stay tuned," she whispered, as if this was a commercial for a scary movie fading away on a cliffhanger, and she bumped her shoulder against him in a happy little rock-sway.
