"Thank you," she replied, conspiratorial and secretive, leaning close and whispering. "I love Heathcliff, but there's something really, really delicious about this book," she explained, the glow of newly-found smut, an appreciation for it, making her cheeks flushed and making her generally glowy. "It isn't all smutty," she explained, because it wasn't. "Some of the things are really romantic, like butterflies in my belly as I read, that type of romantic," she explained.
She considered ghosts. She was kind of maybe an expert, but she didn't want to bring reality in this, so she just tipped ear to shoulder and crinkled her nose in pretend thoughtfulness. "Is the ghost trying to get them together? Or is it a really, really jealous ghost? One that wants to keep them forever and ever apart?"
