Janus got that Atticus was lonely out on the island, so he'd showed up. That was it. No overthinking. Turning around and looking at his fuzzy, sleepy, very young face, he tried to do the not-overthinking again. It sort of worked.
Janus pushed around, looking for a mug, surveying what was available. "No reason. Stopping by." He looked over his shoulder, glancing at the shape on the chair, and gave it a fond smile.
