Re: [Arborlon: Misha/Newt]
Newt's smile, a small, nearly shy thing, widened at the talk of 'threads.' He found the word and associated concept charming. He blinked rather more than was necessary as he looked at Misha, but he did look at the boy. He wondered what it might be like, to feel such a thing, a lifeline. Quite busy. "Do they have, erm, textures to them? Distinct ones, I mean?" He'd no idea why they would, but, it was as fair a question as any. "Do they split off, as a multiverse theory might suggest? Or, is there only a single lifeline to follow?"
Newt opened his case once more, this as Misha told him he could be taken away and back without the movement of time, really. He ducked his head in and gave a whistle, and out came a tawny, yellow-eyed owl, sitting on his head as he straightened back up and closed the case. "Bixby, would you deliver this to Patrick? Then come back here, all right?" He asked the bird, as he tethered his scroll to one scrawny, outstretched leg, by way of reaching up blindly. The owl nipped affectionately at freckled fingers, then took off, through an open window and out into the green of the forest.—Newt watched the owl go, closed up his case, righted himself, then looked back at Misha. "I suppose if I come back right as I leave, the note wasn't necessary." His tone was dry, but he smiled. Ah, well. Newt fetched his wand from somewhere inside his sleeve and his clothing shifted, altering itself, hemming or growing as necessary, until he was in something a bit more suited to the times a few thousand years back. "I'm sure you do know him." Newt smoothed a hand over his jacket, feeling more restricted than he was used to. "I didn't mean to say you didn't." He smiled with some uncertainty as he glanced sideways at Misha through owl-mussed hair. "And I'm sure you did help." Newt held out his hand, rather expecting contact was necessary, the way it was during disapparition. "Simply because things've changed, or returned, even, to how they were, doesn't mean what you did didn't help, hm?"
