Re: Tandy/Alex: the comic book store
Well, Saga to start. Night like this, ain't much else to do. [With a little tilt of his head and another shrug, because that's how he read most of the comics he currently read - just reading through the inventory during his shift. Although, a very battered copy of A Game of Thrones (TV show cover, circa season one) sat near the register with a torn slip of ruled paper marking a spot roughly 1/50 of the way through. (And for Alex, that was a considerable amount of reading). And he wondered if Tandy was going to leave the stack behind, which seemed like...wrong. Or maybe he was offering to let Alex borrow something?
Then another look down at his shoes. No embarrassment; Alex wasn't used to having the best of stuff and he appreciated the solid advice.] Yo, thanks. Haven't been down there yet, but prolly worth the trip. [He smiled his thanks too. Up, with him leaning and Tandy being Jolly Green, and so on. Like always it was a small, kind of uncertain sort of thing, though he was getting more accustomed to doing so. Then, he added:] 's not like I'm doin' the 'fashionable' thing as it is. Or is it the place that looks like ass and the clothes are okay? [Whichever the case, free clothes, he reasoned, were better than the alternative, and it didn't matter what they looked like. Though he was rather attached to the hoodie and would probably wear it till it fell apart. In its entirety.]
He picked up the coffee again and took another sip. He wasn't clever but he wondered if he could work out a way to get Tandy to keep bringing him the stuff. Free, yes. Tasty, yes. Those were just bonuses, though.]
