Re: Tandy/Alex: the comic book store
[Except perhaps, this one time, when he found himself cajoled into delivering coffee in the literal sense, and had been greeted with something like the reverence a junkie held for his dealer. But Alex got it.] Savor, right. [Another small laugh. Comics weren't his life anymore than coffee was Tandy's. It was a job, maybe something he was starting to enjoy, but he'd never be as into it as the lifers. Still, he could carve out a little niche of enjoyment all the same. Actually find something to enjoy for once. Surviving before living. Heirarchy of needs. He was past surviving and he thought he was safe.
Stray locks of blond hair fell into his eyes with his head bent over the box, and he gave a careless toss of his head to clear his vision. He was confused right back at Tandy's confusion.] Dude I thought you knew, 'swhy I said I'd drop 'em off before if ya wanted. Billy did. He got Holly's too. He din't tell you? [That shrug again, like okay Billy is just a generous guy, right? Assuming that was just kind of normal for him and remembering how much that had made an impression on him as well.]
