Klaus swayed when he was addressed - assuming it was him being addressed - looking around for where the voice had come from. “I...yes?” he asked, blinking into the dark. “I’m fine. Are you dead?” Whoever it was shouldn’t be dead, because Klaus was still rolling on his buzz and there was no reason to think he’d come across a ghost, but this town was a mess. He couldn’t really trust anything.
His eyes eventually fell on the form of a man sitting on his porch, and Klaus tipped his head, trying to work out for himself if they were alive, dead, or even human. “I’m fine. I’m just trying to find my trailer. I’m sure I left it around here somewhere-” He couldn’t feel the cold at the moment, but somewhere in the back of his head he knew that he wasn’t doing himself any good parading around in barely anything.
He took a few tentative steps towards Alex, knowing full well that a lot of people around here didn’t like to be approached. It was like edging closer to a wild animal. A bear. Or a panther. He’d prefer a panther. Big cats were beautiful. They might not kill him as quickly, though. Didn’t panther’s drag their food up into trees to eat it? Or was that leopards? Same same. There weren’t any trees right here in the trailer park, though, so it would have to drag him a long way-
Wait. No. It wasn’t a panther. It was a guy. Klaus remembered!
“Hi!” he greeted again, wrapping his arms around himself as though that might give him some semblance of being clothed more than he was. At the very least he’d covered his nipples. “Sorry to disturb you. Lovely evening, isn’t it? Lots of stars.” Maybe? Klaus looked up. Yep, lots of stars. Nice.
